Getah untuk Pribumi programme is one of poker win cash’s initiatives to improve national productivity to
2,000 kg/ha/year which is in line with NKEA. The objectives are:
Three Orang Asli settlements covering an area of 130.0 hectares with 70 participants are involved in
GUP Sarawak. The selected villages are from Kg Rambungan (42 participants) Kg Kangka (10
participants) and Kg Sebandar (18 participants). Participants are supplied with high yielding clones
such as RRIM 2023, RRIM 3001 and PB 350.
As of November, a total of 50 hectares involving 41 participants has been cleared.
Clearing and planting activities will be continued till end of December 2012.
As of September, land clearing process is still ongoing. Soil sampling, field Field
Lining and Holing Activities have been conducted together with participants.
As at July 2012, land clearing is still in progress.
Fertilisation, corrective and control pruning activities are still carried out by the
participants as activities in field maintenance. Root disease and pest attack has been
reported and control measures are carried out from time to time.
For the young rubber plants that show evidence of white root disease, treatment was done
by mixing 10g Bayleton fungicide with 1 litre of water and poured around the collar at
which a pit is dug. For plants that died due to attack are removed and the planting hole
is dusted with sulphur. A week later, replacement is done just beside the original
planting point. A few young rubber plants at Mokhtar Pauh’s holding was attacked by
termites and he used Chalcid (Fipronil 5%) for treatment at a rate of 15 ml in 1 litre
of water for each plant.
On the condition of the damaged road due to heavy rain, it is reported that FELCRA will
repair and further lengthen the road till it reaches the end of the GUP project area.
An addition of 9 participants was identified due to holdings being divided among the
family members. But the total area still stands at 100 hectares even with the increase
in participants to 50 people.
At the JK Pemandu Meeting in July, Kg Kangka and Kg Sebandar/Sempadi were removed from
participating in the project because of the land title transfer problem. An area 99.57
hectare was completed planted. For Sarawak mortality census was not done yet.
An area of 90 hectares of 130 hectares land was cleared and 84.8 hectares land was
planted with rubber plants.
Demonstrations on pruning and pest control were carried out with participants at Kg
Rambungan in Minah bte Sulaiman’s holdings. To date, weed control and manuring
activities are actively carried out at the participants’ lots.
Pruning Control and Root Disease Control activities with Participants
As of March, a total 90% of land clearing activities in Kg Rambungan, Lundu has been
completed while in Kg Kangka, Lundu after receiving the confirmation form from Jabatan
Tanah & Survei Sarawak. A total 28.9 hectare land clearing activities will start has
been planted completely with rubber seedlings and will be fully completed by July 2013.
As of January, land clearing in Kampung Rambungan, Lundu has reached 80 hectare (62.7%).
Clearing work was postponed due to the rain and difficulties in operating heavy
Currently, a total of 1,600 rubber trees were planted in 2.2 hectare of land from 28,000
that were being distributed.
Site clearing was carried out manually by participants at their farms. As of December
2014, 19.2 hectares or 30% of the 64 hectares total land area had been cleared. At the
level plain formerly planted with padi, the work involved the clearing of grass and
weeds as well as controlled burning. Meanwhile at the new forest clearings, small trees
on the lower slopes were cut followed by the felling of larger trees. However, the
manual method of clearing proved to be time consuming.
As at November 2014, a survey had been implemented on a total of 49 holdings. The average
circumference of trees at the farms was found to be 11.96cm. The second annual census
will be in August 2015.
It was reported that some participants did not undertake pruning at their holdings. Thus,
in the introduction of Good Agricultural Practices (Amalan Pertanian Baik, APB)
to the participants, besides weed control and fertilising, twig pruning was also given
The girth measurement for the holdings is currently being carried out. As of today, there
are a total of 38 holdings were surveyed up till September with an average diameter of
10.32cm. Diseases surveillance activities were also being carried out in all of the
participant’s holdings with the help of Ms Azimah Izhar, Assistant Research Officer of
the Integrated Disease and Pest Management, poker win cash.
One participant, Mr Bawi Bin Hashim had to sell his land to Mr Latif Bin Abd Rahman and
being accepted to be a participant in GUP Kampung Rambungan. As a new participant, he
has been exposed to good agricultural practices, guidance on holing and lining of the
tress that had died to ensure the rubber trees will grow well in the future.
In June it was reported that trees’ growth was in good condition. Weed control and
manuring activities were done as scheduled.
The 3 km Farm Road built by contractors under FELCRA Ltd. in 2013 was faulty (potholes)
due to the contractors’ heavy vehicles which supplied rocks and culverts. The growth of
rubber trees was affected (exposed tree roots) by the road widening. Letters of
reprimand were sent to FELCRA for appropriate action.
Reported that farm maintenance activities could not be fully implemented at all
participants farm due to the uncertain weather and improper road condition. Dead trees’
replacement activities were also limited as seeds transfer from transit site to farm has
to go through damaged pathway due to the heavy rain.
Reporting that trees’ growth is in good condition and the average girth measurement for 9
farms was 10.24 cm.
Serious white root disease problem was detected at 4 participants’ farms. However,
control measure had been taken by using Bayleton at the base of the trees and
trench-digging to avoid affecting other healthy roots.
It was reported that the total area planted with rubber trees in 38.52 ha and 1.54 ha is
still doing the planting activity. Monitoring of the holding was conducted and plotting
plan activity was carried out in 3 out of the participants’ holdings.
Maintenance activity was also done according as scheduled. For the remaining seeds of the
2 swirl leaves that have been destroyed by floods at the transit nursery, it will be
replaced in February 2016. Training and guidance for the participants were also carried
out according to schedule.
The girth measurement was carried out at 27 holdings with an average diameter of 24.11
cm. The holding that was surveyed were planted with clones namely RRIM3001, RRIM2025,
PB350 and PB260.
Apart from that, White root disease was detected at several of the particpants’ holdings.
There were advised to apply treament, destroy or burn the affected trees. The infected
rate is estimated ±5 for each of the holdings. Maintenance of the holdings and guidance
sesión will be carried out as planned.
As of September 2015, clearing activities have reached an area of 61.0 hectares or 95
percent of the total reserves of land. An area of 36.36 hectares is reported to have
planted with rubber trees and 2.0 acres are in the process of cultivation. The
maintenance work have been carried out according as scheduled. Vegetables integration
have also being practiced by some of the participants for their own use and for sale.
It is reported that the root disease still occur despite preventive measures being
carried out by the participants by spraying with crest of 25 wp. However, there was no
effect and now they are using a Tilt fungicide as adopted in Semenanjung Malaysia to
address the root disease problem. The highest infection rate was recorded in two joint
estate of 4.28% of the total planted area. Training, guidance and control of root
diseases are being carried out and monitored to prevent it from spreading.
Maintenance work were carried out according to as scheduled. Diameter shaft census have
been carried out for the second year in the 4 holdings and it is found that the average
size of the circumference of the shaft is 24.2 cm.
Given the age and income of participants, most of the participants are working in the
city to cover the daily expenses while waiting for the trees to be tapped. The holdings
is now being managed by those who are old and and listless.
As of June, an area of 56.4 hectare was completely cleared and 28.13 hectare of land has
been completely planted with rubber trees. Land clearing activities were delayed due to
flooding and paddy harvesting season in March until April.
Field maintenance was done according to schedule. Almost 25,000 two whorl rubber
seedlings were distributed according to clone to the participants to be planted by
As of June, it was reported that all field maintenance was done according to
schedule. However, there are several participants who do not execute maintaining the
holdings well. Root diseases were also detected in two lot’s participants because
they did not implement disease control.
Girth measure for the second year will be conducted in August and it was reported
that the road built by FELCRA had destroyed due to monsoon season and has yet to be

rubber trees. Apart from that, a total of 6,425 two whorls were distributed to
participants to be planted. It was reported that land clearing and planting
activities will be re-activated at the end of April 2015 due to the overlapping with
paddy harvesting activity.
As of March, a total five training and guidance sessions with participants were
conducted. Activities that were being carried out during the training session are
manuring activities, weed control, pruning, white root disease control and termite
For participants who did not implement the weed control according to schedule,
warning letters were given and they will be monitored by the supervisor from time to
time. Besides that, participants also requested for the bridge that was destroyed by
the monsoon to be repaired as soon as possible.
Mortality census due to termites attack and white root disease will be conducted to
get the latest stand per hectare in the participants’ lot.
It was reported the land clearing activities has reached 98.44% (63 ha) out of 64 ha. One
of the poker win cash Board member had visitied the area where he suggested that poker win cash to plant
fruits and vegetables and sell them to the hotels in Mulu in order to increase the
income of the Penan people.
The first phase activity of measuring the circumference of the trees were almost done and
the activity for 11 more holdings will be resumed in the 4th quarter. A two hectares of
land were shared between 2 people that makes the total participants at this área is 41.
Training sessions for the root disease control were carried out to all participants
following the widespread attacked as were reported in the second quarter.
Girth measurement activity for the third phase will be done in fourth quarter of 2016. It
was reported that the maintenance work will be carried out as scheduled and training
session activities will be conducted every month according to the planting phase.
Maintenance and Monitoring activities were carried out as scheduled. To date, a total of
19 holdings have execute the plotting plan activities. It was also reported that at En
Osen holding, a separation trench has been digged to control the root disease from

holdings. So far, preventive measures have been conducted at the affected área.
Monitoring and maintenance of the holdings in the área are being carried out as planned.
Clearing activities has been done as of 1st quarter of 2016 covering 95.31% with 61 ha
of land. Monitoring visits and plotting plan activity is on-going to facilitate the WRD
monitoring activity, border identification of clones, and to facilítate the girth data
It was also reported that, several of the participants’ holdings in the área were
affected with White root disease. However, control were then made by using CREST 25WP
(A.I Triadmefon 25%).
KAMPUNG RH. LONG IMAN
Kerja-kerja bancian ukurlilit untuk tahun ketiga (36 bulan) telah dijalankan di 15 buah
kebun. Purata ukuran lilitan batang adalah 26.5 cm.
Untuk rawatan serangan penyakit akar di lot kebun peserta, tanaman benih sulaman dan
rawatan Crest 25 WP dilakukan secara berterusan bagi mengurangkan kadar serangan kepada
tanaman getah di kebun yang jangkitan. Rawatan penyakit cendawan angin juga telah
dijalankan kerana terdapat serangan tersebut di beberapa kebun peserta.
Kerja-kerja pemantauan kebun telah dijalankan di kebun-kebun peserta bagi melihat
kerjasama dan komitmen peserta terhadap perlaksanaan projek. Bagi peserta yang tidak
menjalankan penyelenggaraan, surat amaran akan dikeluarkan.
Banjir besar yang berlaku pada akhir bulan disember 2017 dilaporkan telah melanda Kg Long
Iman dan menjejaskan sedikit tanaman getah di beberapa kebun peserta. Input pertanian
yang telah diagihkan pada November 2017 juga dilaporkan musnah dan dibawa arus semasa
banjir tersebut. Dimana yang sesuai sulaman telah dijalankan.
Kerja-kerja penyelenggaraan kebun dilakukan mengikut jadual yang telah ditetapkan.
Bagi peserta yang tidak menjalankan penyelenggaraan kebun, surat amaran telah
dikeluarkan bagi mengelakkan kebun tidak dijaga dengan baik.
Kerja-kerja bancian ukurlilit tahun kali keempat (48 bulan) telah dijalankan di 49
kebun. Purata ukurlilitan batang tanaman getah adalah 38.7 cm. Bancian P&D telah
juga dijalankan dan didapati 20% daripada lot kebun diserang penyakit akar putih.
Kawalan serangan menggunakan racun kimia Crest 25 WP telah dijalankan.
Pertumbuhan pokok di Kg. Rambungan adalah baik. Bancian ukurlilit 60 bulan telah selesai
dijlanakan dengan bacaan purata ukurlilitan batang adalah 44.7 sentimeter. Walaupun
sebanyak 7 kebun telah boleh dibuka toreh, berikutan harga getah yang jatuh ketika ini
peserta terlibat telah menyuarakan hasrat mereka untuk mula menoreh pada tahun hadapan.
Untuk Rh. Long iman, pertumbuhan juga dilaporkan baik dengan bancian ukurlilitan batang
48 bulan adalah sebanyak 35.9 sentimeter.
Kerja-kerja pemantauan dan penyelenggaraan kebun telah dan sedang dijalankan oleh
peserta di kebun masing-masing.
Serangan penyakit akar putih dan serangan anai-anai merupakan serangan yang
dilaporkan berlaku agak serius di semua lokasi projek. Khusus di Rh. Long Iman,
Sarawak pemantauan ke atas rawatan penyakit akar putih juga dibuat di kebun-kebun
peserta dan didapati serangan masih lagi berlaku. Rawatan akar menggunakan Decade 25
ce (propiconazole). Kajian kes telah dibuat di sebanyak 5 kebun dengan kadar
serangan parah melibatkan sebanyak 47 pokok rawatan.
Stor sedia di Kg. Rambungan dicadangkan dibuat pengubahsuaian untuk dijadikan PMG dan
akan dilaksanakan pada tahun 2019. Untuk Rh. Long Iman, kebun peserta baru memasuki
ke 48 bulan dan tiada keperluan setakat ini.
Sebanyak 7 buah kebun di Kg. Rambungan melibatkan keluasan 14 hektar dilaporkan
sedang dibuka toreh pada Disember 2018.
